Summer Staycation!

After many months in quarantine due to covid-19, school finally out for summer and having to cancel one of our annual summer vacations I decided it was time to book a staycation.

We packed up our luggage and drove 15 mins to the Pelican Grande Beach Resort. Alas, we finally made it! We valeted our car and immediately got our masks on since the new norm since March 2020, required masks.

I must say it wasn’t too bad, we were just happy to be out of the house, able to relax for a few days, go swimming and eating an actual meal in a restaurant. I’ve really grown to appreciate the little things such as socializing even though we had to social distance and wear masks, and truly enjoy where we live!

Although, the Pelican Grande Beach Resort is a smaller resort it was very charming. Between the restaurant and pool bar/restaurant, pool, lazy River, beautiful ocean views and lovely little shop which served ice cream was a real treat!
