Introducing Bonnet Springs Park…
There’s a new park in Lakeland, Florida and it is a must see! Bonnet Springs Park is a privately developed 168-acre park that depends solely on public support. Prior to this, the area served as a railyard that closed over 40 years ago. The park went on to open in October 2022.
Bonnet Springs Park is free to enter and there are no fees for parking. This natural park includes a variety of things like a Welcome Center, Heritage Gardens Train Playground, Cafe, Botanical Garden, Greenhouse, Butterfly House and much more! You can visit for the activities or simply go on a nature walk with or without your dog!
A major highlight is the Florida Children’s Museum (previously Explorations V Children’s Museum) that found its new home at Bonnet Springs Park. The Museum has a ticket price of $15/per person and children under 2 are free.* Bonnet Springs Park also has an event center ballroom that you can rent out for the day.
I predict that Bonnet Springs Park will be a staple location for families to visit for years to come!
